The very roots of our existence dates back to 1995, when our director, Mr. Manojkumar R. Malu founded ‘Kanhaiya Traders,’ a small raisin trading firm specializing in the domestic trade of raisins all over India. Mr. Manojkumar is not only a dedicated and driven businessman, but he is also a leader who leads by example. He served as the Vice President and the President of the ‘Sangli-Tasgaon Bedana Merchants Association’, leading different campaigns for reforming the Indian raisin industry. Some of his notable achievements include the abolishment of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Sales Tax on the sale of Indian raisins which ensured the farmers received the best value for their crop.
In the year 1999, there was a new addition on the administrative front to our business family, in the form of our other director, Mr. Manish R. Malu, who over the years has worked tirelessly to ensure the administration works like a well oiled machine, making the customer’s business experience a pleasant one.
Over the course of time, we have grown and developed as a business which allowed us to expand our horizons and open a cold storage facility, ‘Harsh Cold Storage,’ in the year 2006, which present day has the storing capacity of 2000 metric tons. In the growing age of technology, we embraced this welcome change and built a state of the art raisin processing facility, which encompasses a multitude of different machines manufactured by trustworthy brands like ‘Bigtem’ and ‘Buhler,’ dedicated for washing, sorting, grading and packaging of raisins respectively. With the able guidance of our directors, ‘Malu Agrotech’ was established in 2016, in order to export Indian raisins to different parts of the world.
We pride ourselves in being one of India’s finest family owned and run businesses in the raisin industry, delivering highest quality products at affordable prices to our customers. Following the family tradition, the newest addition to the business family took place in the form of Harsh Malu, son of our director, Mr. Manojkumar Malu. Mr. Harsh currently holds the position of director of business development, where he is responsible for dealing with day to day business operations and is the point of contact for all our export clientele.
